Regional Sales Manager - Asia

Regular Full-Time


As a member of the APAC Management team, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales performance of the Asia region including South East Asia, Japan, Greater China, and India Sub Continent.  The Regional Sales Manager role is a hands-on role holding direct responsibility for some territories (currently Japan and Greater China) and managing a small team who is currently managing the South-East Asia Region.  The Regional Sales Manager will act as the lead person for the region.


Key to success will be the ability to develop relationships and leverage the channel, including account planning and lead generation with partners; as well as building relationships and developing opportunities with partners by effectively communicating and demonstrating the value of KEMP ADC solutions.  Supported by inside sales, sales engineering and marketing, this role will need to focus on core markets rather than a broad approach.  The Regional Sales Manager will need to target suitable markets and segments on which to focus resources.


Job goals/expectations:

  • Expertly manage a small team in South East Asia with direct responsibility for sales execution in Greater China, Japan, and other parts of Asia
  • Effectively create regional sales plans and forecast revenues while reliably contributing to the Asia Pacific team
  • Operate independently in a remote region with limited supervision


  • Management, recruitment and development of an effective two-tier channel structure with a specific focus on productive channel partners and building our presence within these partners
  • Achieve forecasted sales results with a focus on the management of the sales pipeline and opportunities
  • Manage all sales activities within the assigned territory including management of the South-East Asia team (currently 3 staff)
  • Develop strong professional relationships with clients, partners (resellers), and influencers within our market segment including key market players such as Microsoft, Dell, HP and other key Tier 1 partners
  • Participate in key webinars and events to evangelize our technology within our market space
  • Develop and implement channel plans and programs to increase awareness and enhance productivity on the channels within the chosen territory
  • Manage sales and opportunity pipeline and work with the Asia Pacific team to implement efficient and effective lead generation activities
  • Participate in regional quarterly business reviews and present the state of the region and plans to remedy issues and tactics to accelerate growth


  • 7+ years proven outside sales and channel management experience within the high-tech industry
  • Computing/network product knowledge is a must including networking and technology infrastructure
  • Proven record of quota obtainment and accurately forecasting expected revenue
  • Proven leadership and management skills for quickly assessing the needs of the business
  • Excellent troubleshooting analysis and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a small entrepreneurial performance based environment
  • Experience working with Channels such as resellers, VARs, integrators, consultants, etc.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player and team builder with an open and engaging management style
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player on complex tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Confident, energetic, and organized strategic thinker with proven negotiating skills
  • Valid working rights/visa for Singapore required


  • Up to 40% of travel may be required
